Naani — bedtime stories that listen back
Naani is a bedtime-story app for children. A parent creates the account; the child listens to stories and can talk to Naani while a story plays.
Because children use this app, we collect as little as we can, we show no ads, and we never sell data to anyone.
The short version. We keep your email address, your child's first name and age, and which stories were played. Your child's voice is never recorded. When Naani pauses to ask a question, what your child answers is turned into text and kept with your account, so you can see how the night went — and you can delete all of it whenever you like.
While a story plays, the app listens so your child can talk to Naani. The audio is streamed and converted to text in real time so Naani can answer.
We do not record the audio. We do not store the audio. Recording is disabled and no sound file ever leaves the device.
When Naani pauses to ask a question, the text of your child's answer is kept with your account — that is what lets you see what they said that night. Talking that happens at other moments is used to answer in the story and is not kept. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, and nothing is held back.

We do not use your or your child's data for advertising, profiling, or training AI models.
We never sell or rent personal data. A small number of providers process it only on our instructions:

You can delete everything at any time. Deletion is permanent.
Cancelling a Google Play subscription is separate — manage it in the Play Store.
Naani is made for children and used under a parent's account. Only a parent can create the account, enter the child's details, or subscribe. We collect only the child's first name and age, and we never store the child's voice or speech. There are no ads, no open-ended chat, and no way for a child to contact anyone through the app.
If you believe a child's data has reached us in any other way, email monica@naani.live and we will delete it.
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored on access-controlled servers. Sign-in uses one-time passwords — we never store a password.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to stop using it. Use the in-app options above or email monica@naani.live.
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app.
