Is Lakshman's fall too scary for small children?
Naani tells it gently. There is no wound and no blood: the Shakti is a beam of light that touches Lakshman's chest, and he falls quietly, his eyes closed and his breathing slow. Naani makes it clear that he is badly hurt, so the rescue matters, and the whole middle of the story is the race to save him. He wakes up with "Bhaiya?", and Ram's tears of sadness become tears of joy.
Why did Hanuman carry the whole mountain?
In the Lanka Kand of the Ramcharitmanas, Hanuman reaches the mountain of herbs at night and cannot recognise the Sanjivani among them, and the herb must reach Lakshman before sunrise. So he lifts the whole mountain and flies back with it. Naani uses this as the night's lesson: when you can't find the answer, don't give up, find another way.
What happens to Indrajit in this episode?
After Lakshman recovers, the vanaras break Indrajit's secret ritual before it is finished, and Lakshman faces him with no smoke to hide in. Lakshman says Ram's name before his last arrow, and Indrajit falls quietly. Naani says plainly that he will not rise again and keeps it calm, the same gentle way as Kumbhakarna's end in Night 15.
