Is Ravan's end too scary for small children?
Naani tells it gently. There is no wound and no blood: the divine arrow reaches the nectar in Ravan's navel, its golden glow goes out, his sword slips from his hand and he slowly lies down on the earth. Naani says plainly that he will not rise again and keeps the moment quiet, and the story turns at once to Vibhishan's grief and Ram's kindness to him.
Why did Ravan's heads grow back?
In the Lanka Kand of the Ramcharitmanas, Vibhishan tells Ram that Ravan lives on the strength of the nectar (amrit) held in his navel: 'नाभिकुंड पियूष बस याकें। नाथ जिअत रावनु बल ताकें॥'. As long as it is there, every head Ram's arrows take comes back. Ram's last arrow goes to the navel.
How is Sita's Agni Pariksha told?
Naani keeps it simple and dignified for young children: Ram and Sita meet after the long wait, a calm golden flame rises, and Agnidev's voice tells everyone that Sita is as pure as a ray of the sun and that no one could even touch her. Then Sita places her hand in Ram's, and the vanaras shower flowers.
